The Same - The Party (revised)

I've decided to expand the list of sources I'm working from for this series to add greater variation. I'm keeping with the island theme for the sources, throwing in a few oddball texts for texture. I'm still coming up with a final list, from which I will arbitrarily choose three texts for each poem. This one is a bit rough at the end, but I like the new directions it takes, especially in the first two stanzas.

I'm writing them one stanza at a time, saving each and then working on the next. This will allow me to revise any poem by just rewriting problem stanzas.

the fire with the other bodies · through
the green confusion · to the shore in two ·

the bottom · brown · bananas · plantains · and
in what a woman at a stretch · upon
